Day Camps

TEACHING FROM A YOUNG AGE THAT SNAKES ARE NOTHING TO FEAR

The best way to prevent phobias of snakes is to teach kids not to fear them as young as we can. Our day camps are fun and interactive, for anyone ages 5 to 17! The camps are split into ages 5 to 11, and ages 12 to 17.

Ages 5 to 11

Start off the day with a quick class on snakes and how to handle them, going into a small craft session before we meet the snakes themselves! Everyone gets a chance to touch and hold if they'd like to, nobody is forced into it. A half hour break for lunch, another class on how to take care of the snakes, and then we're back with the animals!

For the rest of the day, we're with the snakes. The kids learn a hands on experience on how to take care of a snake, including how to set up tanks, how to feed and other fun stuff. The last hour is spent making a tank of their own to take home (plastic snakes only, don't worry parents!)

Ages 12 to 17

For the older kids, we start off with a more in depth class on snakes and how to handle them, and then we go right into the snakes! After a quick tour, each child gets to 'choose' their own snake to be their partner for the day. Everyone gets a chance to touch and hold if they'd like to, nobody is forced into it. A half hour break for lunch, another class on how to take care of the snakes, and then we're back with the animals!

For the rest of the day, we're with the snakes. The kids learn a hands on experience on how to take care of a snake, including how to set up tanks, how to feed and other fun stuff. If desired, they can watch an actual feeding and help make up some new tanks for intakes. The last hour is spent making a tank of their own to take home (plastic snakes only, don't worry parents!)

Ages 5 to 11 - $75 per day

Ages 12 to 17 - $100 per day

Each extra child is $15 off!
