JELICIA ELLIOTT

FOUNDER

Human

The idea to start a snake-specific rescue was fueled by a teacher's suggestion during college. Since then, Jelicia has put everything towards creating a better place for snakes and a way to take some of the pressure off of other rescues.

Jelicia has years of animal experience ranging from things as small as fish to giants like horses and cattle.

Jelicia is currently in college as an AHT, and is hoping to work in a vet clinic once she finishes.

PEINE

PRESIDENT

Corn Snake

Peine was Jelicia's first snake. Bought as a baby from the pet store, he ended up being stunted and has stayed the size of a juvenile. Also nicknamed Snurtle because of his favorite hide, he is quite happy to explore.

Sev 1.jpg

SEVERUS

ANGER MANAGEMENT OFFICER

Corn Snake

Sev is one of our most trusted employees, despite her attitude. She can be snippy at times but she is always willing to come out and see the world, and is a fantastic person to be around.

SALAZAR

IDEA DIRECTOR

Corn Snake

The head of our curiosity, Sal is always finding new ideas and new ways to make the rescue possible. He's always a good laugh, and he's very fond of being outside and digging through the dirt to see what he can find.

NAGINI

HEAD OF MEDICAL CARE

Ball Python

Nagini is our newest member. She was brought in as a rescue, covered in burn scars. Since being with us, she has definitely excelled and shown her personality. She enjoys her space, but she is always delighted to sit down and watch some TV, or see what she might find hidden in the couch.

WE AREN'T JUST ALL ABOUT SNAKES

We understand that sometimes you have more than just a snake to re-home. Here at Shady's Serpents, we are contacts with Northern Amphibians and Saskatoon Reptile Show. We can help you find a good rescue for your amphibians (axolotls, frogs, salamanders, newts), tortoises, box turtles, or other reptiles! Just let us know what you need, and we will find a place for you.
