MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Education

We understand that not everybody likes snakes. But our belief is that not everybody has to be scared of them! We offer a variety of fear-management programs to try and help you get through your fears and become more comfortable with snakes, and all reptiles.

We also offer various talks for schools and summer programs, day camps for the kids, and one on one sessions with the snakes to educate and teach others what it is exactly that we care about.

DAY CAMPS

DATES TBA

Treat your child to a behind-the-scenes, full day of fun with Shady's Serpents! Kids as young as five can come and experience up close interactions with snakes, learn about them and other creatures, and bring home a miniature tank of their own! (Don't worry, parents; no live snakes included!) Your child can enjoy a full day of crafts, scales and games, all while learning something new!

FEAR-MANAGEMENT CLASSES

DATES TBA

Getting over fear is not easy, for anyone. If you're willing, we can help you through it! It starts out as a small education session, before moving into the animals. Its easier to deal with something if you know more about it. Once you feel comfortable, you can touch the snakes and interact with them. We build up trust first, and then we work towards progress!

ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS

OPENINGS TBA

Sometimes getting through fear is difficult, and we understand that being in front of a group of people can make it harder to work through. Our one-on-one sessions can help with that! We can come to your home and bring some snakes, and we can work through the fear together, without anyone else. If you feel better, you can come to us too!

PRESENTATIONS

INQUIRE NOW

We visit schools, summer camps, museums and various other events to give presentations about snakes. Their basic care, fun facts, do's and dont's, as well as some more involved lectures. We always bring a few snakes along to let people see and touch and hold, to give them an experience they'll remember.
